Guillermo Reyes is a 2010 bilingual Spanish elementary school teacher.  Buillermo completed his Bachelor’s in Africana and Latino Studies at the State University of New York.  He is a Master’s Degree Candidate in Ethnic Studies at the Colorado State University.

Guillermo has coached basketball at the Boys & Girls club and has tutored 5th graders for the Alianza Dominicana Inc. in New York City.   A proud product of public education in the Bronx, Guillermo considers his ability to motivate people his biggest strength and looks forward to being a positive male role model for his students by making class lessons relevant to their lives. Guillermo teaches bilingual Spanish Kindergarten at McGlone Elementary.

Kimberly Humphreys is a 2010 Special Education Fellow.  Kim was most recently an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State College of Denver and a former editor at Rocky Mountain News.  Kimberly has spent the last two decades learning and writing about what makes people tick.

Kimberly considers her biggest strength to be her problem-solving skills.  She has learned not to dwell on problems but to dwell on solutions.  These skills benefit in her teaching, both with college-level students and at the elementary schools where she volunteers. Kimberly’s life experience has given her a great deal of intercultural competence, knowledge, and compassion.  Kimberly teaches special education at Ellis Elementary.
